...just wanted ta know if any of you guys have had to deal with this happend ta sumone u know cause this weds. this kid in my grade at r school did it to himself~~I didnt really know the kid personally but i knew who he was--he always seemed pretty happy so its just so f-cked up that it would happend to sumone i know~~whatever he was goin through must have been pretty nad cause i know that no matter how much rock bottom i hit i would never have the balls to pull the trigger with a gun in my mouth..its just so messed up that ppl do this as a way out

I've had first hand experiance with suicide, dealing with a couple people that were partially suicidal, and my own past. Its probably the subject that catches my ear the most if I hear something about it. I absolutely HATE the thought of suicide now, its the most horrible and saddening thing. A pro skier (Jeremy April) recently commited suicide, I don't know a lot about it, but a lot of people on the site do.

I had a friend last year.....that was pretty rough. Its so hard to deal with.....I really can't think of much I want to say about it....its sad stuff.

that's weird. I guy at my school last wednesday comitted suicide, Greg Ducette. I didn't know the guy but it seemed to be because everyone teased him for some reason. People are cruel. Some people are weak. the combination of the two is just bad.

I've had a lot of experience with suicide, both in my own past and those of my friends. I had a friend in Van commit suicide a year or so ago. It's tough.

A guy who used to go to my school did it a while ago. I've thought about it sometimes, but there is always something else that you could do as an alternative. There has to be! We're all young and we have so much ahead of us, so much to look forward too. If any of you ever feel like doing something that drastic, please talk to someone, anyone. We can't afford to loose anyone great from our world, and you are all great people! I know this sounds like a bunch of mushy crap, but just reach out if you need help- it isn't that hard.

luckily none of my friends have commited suicide. but my teacher who teached me in my previous school jumped front of the train!! its sad

has anyone every heard that song about suiside that was popular awhile ago? like it starts out talking about how animals cant do it and evolves into all the reasons to live...i forget who makes it but that was a cool song

my friend almost did. she was suicidal for a while...she took hella ibeprofen and stuff....pretty serious...she had to go to the hospital for like 2 weeks and stuff. but now she seems really happy and she's really nice. its good to know shes doing better

I've never had a friend commit suicide, but when I was in highschool, our school had the highest suicide rate in Ontario. There was one every year. It is really sad to hear about those kinds of things. To think that someones life is so bad that they would want to end it.

a girl in my school has tried to kill herself before. she would take a bunch of pills and stuff, but then her mom would take her to the hospital and get her stomach pumped soon after. id ont know if she was doing it for attention or what. and im my dads town, some kids killed themselves by driving into a tree after their brothers or friends got killed my driving into the same tree. its weird because we always drive by the stumps(they cut them down). ski2824 might know of the story im talking about

one of my best friends did it, and i had never realized how damn selfish somebody can be. We were really close, but he was battling addictions, and i guess he didnt think he could fight it any more

dude taht is the worst thing to do some guy commited suicise in my school a coupla years ago cos of bullying its fucking weak when that happens

One of my good friends committed suicide last year. He was such a great kid. Always happy, good skier, really funny, had his own business, and was heavily involved in church. It caught everyone by surprise and was/is tough to deal with. He is truly missed.

yeah there is nothing worse for your self than failing suscide, but i guess if you fail, you dont really wanna die. ive never had those thoughts maybe i dont take life seriously enough

yeah, its happened to a friend of mine, a few of my other friends tried it or so their parents claim, and i've had a friend die in front of me skiing...it sucks. suicide is for pussies...talk about the easy way out.

Combination of hormones in teenagers with the extreme cruelty of bullies creates a lot of unfortunate endings. I've thought about suicide before when I was in middle school, but I was mature enough to realize all that I had to live for and decided to not let the bullying get me down. Scary stuff when you realize that you're actually comtemplating suicide, kind of a wakeup call.

hmmmm... never thought about killing myself BUT ive sometimes pondered at certain time (1 am working on a paper or comming home from school knowing that i have too much shit to do) what it would be like if i just up and died. like, how carefree i would be. then i stop thinking like that before i think about killing myself cause, from my standpoint, suicides are for people who are weak and have run out of ideas. i dunno, i dont know anyone whos tried it or gone through so i might be wrong

When I was dealing with some pretty tough shit, one of my friends said something to me that meant a lot. She said, 'Each and every morning, the sun rises no matter how the last day ended. You too, will rise over this and you too will start the new day with a new hope. Don’t ever forget that.'

This goes to show you that your friends may not be living easy lives. When you see someone making fun of your friend, stand up for them, even if they’re not there. Word gets around, fast. If you back up your friends, who knows one day, when you’re feeling as if all is lost, one of those friends will make a stand and help you through it. If you ever heard that anyone of your friends are suicidal, don’t shrug it off. Talk to them and see what’s wrong. Don’t take no for an answer. You never know what life can drop in your lap. I found that out that one night. Who knows, one day, someone will help you through an ordeal, just as you’ve helped another. And remember, life is a true gift. If you feel as if all is lost, don’t hesitate to talk to someone. If that person is your true friend, they will listen. And everyday, the sun will rise, just as you will rise over your problems. You too, will start the new day with a new hope.

Life is truly sacred, don’t ever forget that.



Me: 'How come every time we talk, the subject of my mum using drugs comes up?'

James: 'Yeah, it really does.'
(Ten minutes later.)

somtimes when i'm sad i think about it, but never seriously. it's just more of a way of making myself feel better by realizing that people would miss me.

from my personal experiance when your depressed or suicidal you cover it up. Thinking that your being to obvious and just want to blend in. All the while on the inside hoping that someone notices before it gets any further along. Their friends sometimes care not to see what is wrong with them and it just esclates. Most of suicide attempts don't work out but the sad thing is that some do.

I've don't know anyone who is suicidal but it's really sad. Life is worth living it's just sad that these people don't realise that and that there are so many people out there who care and love them. Tragic.

But quite often these people are the social outcasts that are the fuel to certain people's popularity. Unless its popular to be sentimental, few people will actually talk to somebody who looks down simply for fear of losing social status. Its easier to alienate the alien than the try and understand them.
