Replying to Where to mount my Armada ARVs
So I decided to pick up a pair of 2010 Armada ARVs. Now the question is where should I mount them?
I am 5'10" and weight 180lbs at the moment and am a fairly aggressive skier, but by no means am I at pro level. I ski all over the North East including NY, VT, MA, NH, and ME. I want the ski to excel in both the park and all mountain ( handling a variety of different terrains and snow types).
If it helps, I am purchasing the 185 length and am mounting with Rossignol Scratch 120 bindings.
The mounting line on the ski is -7cms from true center, but I was thinking of mounting ahead of the line for better park and switch skiing. On my Pipe Cleaners the line was -5 cms from true center and I mounted -2.5 cms from true center and loved it there for park and all mountain.
I was thinking of mounting the ski as far back as -4 cms from true and as far forward as -2 cms from true center. Like I said I want to have the ski balanced for skiing switch, spins, and rails when skiing the park, but I want it to float decently in pow, or crud, slush and ski well when I'm outside of the park and am skiing down a groomer, or through the trees, or down some natural line.
So NS, where should I mount?
