So i know what many of you think of Simon Dumont and i want to clarify some things. HE IS THE MAN....today at The Dumont Cup he handed out tons of Nike and Empire swag to all of the kids and was very adamant about making sure all of the athletes got something...so quit hating on him he is in fact THE MAN.

Would you not have done the same? If you knew that it was a popularity contest, and your friend was paralyzed, would you not have done an easier trick that you knew you could win with, and then give the winnings to help out your friend? Doesn't sound so bad to me. Sure, the some of the others should have won, but its not like Simon bribed the judges, he just did what he knew would win. I doubt anyone here would opt out of winning Xgames with a double front if given the chance.

simon is the man and, judging by last years xgames big air, would make a great politician. yeah she shouldnt have won but he knew he was the lone american and thus played to his crowd. everyone hates on him for that, he also gave his winnings to riley poor to pay medical bills according to powder magazine

he's gonna do what it takes to win. i think most competitive athletes would do that. the public loved the double front, he won, i don't see how that's douchey or cheating. while i may not agree with the decision i still don't see how it represents his character or flaws

well he does spend trillions of dollars that the US does not have, and as of now has made it so our grandchildren will be paying off his spending spree. dumont just hasnt stepped up his game like other skiers around him have, he seems to be stuck in the past thinking the same tricks that won him gold at the x-games years ago will still win him medals today, when in fact they wont. in the ski world he is boarderline washed up

never met the man myself, but everything, and I mean everything I see him in, ie videos, interviews, X, etc he appears to be a huge choad who has a chip on his shoulder cuz hes 5'2". dude is a great skiier tho.

he has so much swag just in the way he carries himself which makes him come off like a dick. like at the dew tour stop in utah, he was pissed that he got second and showed it so everyones like quit being a bitch dumont, but hes a competitor. his interviews tell a completely different story and he comes off as super mellow and chill
