NS Photo Contest, Week 15

"TOPIC: Out Of Place

Showcase an object, person, place, or subject which boldly stands out from its surroundings. Try to create a visual or figurative contrast in your photo. The more creative and well thought the picture, the better.


Guidelines:
-you may post 1 PHOTO ONLY
-you have TWO WEEKS to capture your photo
-if your photo strays from the topic, explain why
-no hating on photos, constructive criticism only
-we will have a voting thread to determine the top 5, then we will vote again to find the winner
-post your own photos
-click on embedded photos before judging, NS drains the color from them
-winner chooses the next topic
-you cannot win 2 times in a row, you can win twice, just not in a row
-PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go out and shoot! Do your best to not pull any files because it goes with the topic. We’re looking to have this be an active photography contest.

i found that that with this zooming effect on the hydrant was making the hydrant come out the picture. I also found that the focus on the object while the surrounding was really blurred made an interesting contrast

I suppose I'll have to elaborate on this one. This is a grainy, out of focus image of my patio door. It's a simple contrast between light and dark, a very typical theme throughout society, and also one that continues to emerge through art. The cloudy area in the centre of the image seems out of place against the dark background, yet the two shades are blending into one another - showing that although the light and the dark, or the good and the bad are opposite, there is always a grey area where opposites meet in the middle.

Take what you will from it.

i have 2 of these bad boys, one in this blue and another in red.

this just took me 15 minutes to find a way to type in this godamn box. My computer would not let me do it.

ok anyway here is my submission, i think it fits the subject because the one sticker stands out.
