Obsethed vs. Alpha 2

First off, search barred and didn't find anything.
I know this is a really weird comparison and the 2 are extremely different but I just wanted to know what one would be better for me.

I have jjs so not looking for like a pow specific ski. I want a all mountain park ski. I have seen people riding obsetheds in the park and thought it looked fun.

Fill me in.

obsethed are gonna be a good bit heavier but will be able to charge groomers better and float in the pow when you dont have your jj's. the alphas are gonna be really nimble playful and smooth for rails and jumps. id say it depends how much all mountain your gonna do vs. park

if you want more of a park ski get the alpha2's(they are calling them the halos next year?) but the obsethed might be better all mountain

kung fujas would be better than either.

the halo/alpha 2 is pretty darn park specific

the obsethed is skiable in the park, but its really more of a big mountain ski.


kung fujas would be ideal, mini rocker, 95 underfoot. a true all mountain jib stick.

sorry for the double post but if your looking for a buttery ski for park and all mountain(your looking at rockered skis im putting 2 and 2 together) check out the atomic patents they are buttery and are a good all mountain ski as well as being fully symetrical

I have Obsetheds, they are more of an all mountain ski, but are fun on jumps and butter pretty easily. My only gripes with them are on rails since, but I think that's just me. Also the seths are much wider that the A2s, so for all mountain they will be better, especially for pow. They carve well, and are good for bombing straight lines and big sweeping turns, but require effort to swing about in tight trees.

kung fujas, on3p jeronimos, moment reno rockers, surface watch life/green life, line blends all sound like they would be better choices...

Okay thanks so its between moment rockers, alpha 2's and kung fujas's. Can the alphas carve well? I heard they don't really... I will probably demo them but i would wait for the salomon 2012 but it will be expensive and I only want to spend like 400 to 450 with bindings so rocker are kinda out as well.

Haha, dude, I didnt even realize it was you when I saw this thread. I think Alphas, cause you can hopefully demo them at Schweitzer. I think that Obsethed would be to similar to your JJs for the skiing we do. Plus Alphas would be really similar to the JJs as far as how they ski, so no more taking a few runs to get used to your thrusters. And I think the rockers are to expensive, and you cant ski them before you buy them.

^ yeah, when you have the chance to try all those then why would you want to get your ski right now with only a few weeks left of the season?  If you have to be cheap than just make a short list of what you'd like and buy whichever one you find(in the right length) cheap first.
Fujas and Alphas won't ski very similar at all, they may both do similar things well but with totally different style.

The Obsethed is not a park ski, not at all.  You could do it, sure, but it would suck compared to a park specific ski.

maybe lizzies? supper soft and buttery from what i've heard. if your looking for an allmountain jib ski i'd say lizzies, blends, or kung fujas.
