Dale Talkington: The New King of Style?

His edits are beyond legit (mad props to New Intel), but his latest spring edit is just ridiculous. I am going to put faith in the kid and make a claim that he is the new king of style. Whether that be Wallisch, Harlaut, Martini, Hornbeck, whoever.. This man will be one of the illest in the game in a couple of years (if he isn't there already).

ya im pretty sure he spins right decently- i remember seeing a real nice right 9 in the Mt Saint Savour edit.

Also the shifties he throws in are ridiculous

come on guys, i dont get why everyone is in love with dale these days. The dude is really good but not a big fan of his jump style, i dont think that a skier that is still at the stage of doing sw 9 and sw 10 mutes should be considered ''the king of style''

Dale is the man.  Every time he lands a trick it just looks so good.  One of my new favorite skiers.  I watch his edits all the time.

New intel edit for example, jumps are left cork 5, left sw 5, left sw 7, right sw 7, right sw 9, left dub 10, left 9, left 5, left sw 9, left sw 10.  Not to mention the right 9 wasn't grabbed.  Calling a kid the King of Style when people, amatures even, are throwing grabbed 10s both ways is a bit much.  I'm not tryna be nitpicky but you bring it out

style (in many people's opinion) is not neccesarily about the biggest tricks. it is more about a smooth flow.. which is why many are in love with his style, remember when everyone was on wallisch's dick? he wasn't throwing huge tricks, but his style was flawless.

the emphasis is on dale's style, not the tricks he throws.. in any case, his rail game is off the charts. and personally, i would rather see a nice, fluid five as opposed to a seizure resembling double cork spin.

I'm not sure about anyone else but once a skier is in the air I can't tell/don't care which direction their spinning. Boo hoo if he can't spin rightside, his left side spins look better than most as is.

point in hand, never heard of this kid til i saw the top rated section...  kid is legit, for sure.  his shiftys are some of the best i have seen!!!!  just wait until he rides more with e'dollo, b-dog, or walker...  he is gonna blow some minds for sure!!!!

nothing special? I'd say his style is more unique and special than half of the riders out there, the majority of skiers now-a-days just try and be as close to T-wall's style as possible and most of the time fail at it.

Dale's style is pretty unique and different.

I'm also a big fan of b-dog, hornbeck and delorme style

i remember before I was even getting into skiing a ton, when I was still snowboarding and watching ski edits, and my friend showed me a 4bi9 edit. He was like "man, i wish I had style like HIM" and pointed at Dale. I was really impressed with the head thing, I have to say.

kinda how i worded it. i guess i was more thinking of in the years to come. and i definitely would not rule out others.

in response to the reference of 4bi9:

i would argue that new intel is putting out better edits (videography) with a very close level of riding to accompany the great editing.

ok let me answer some questions and clear some stuff up dale is 18 he has a plethora of right and left tricks...he is the smoothest/ styliest skier on the east closely followed by holson (okemo skiers/claim)...anyone who disagrees with these facts is clearly retarded and hasn't been on new schoolers or earth for the past few years...simply put Okemo Mountain School produces thanks to the expertise of Chris Marks and Mike Bruno...also someone you should look out for in the next two years Matt Hauser a fellow OMS'r kid slays
