go graffiti the fuck out of whatever you want, i do not give a shit. i'm not saying anyone's tags suck, although they do :o but i don't care. its the retard mentality revolving around 17 year old wigger kids living in suburban neighborhoods who try to act like the shit and go tag rocks and walls. i guess if my life was that hard i'd need to express myself too

you do know that real artists and real graffiti artists do not respect 'tagging' at all. you are the reason the art form of graffiti is so frowned upon because real graffiti is always linked to your tagging bullshit. Go fuck yourself.

tagging =/= graffiti.

most people who tag think they are graffiti artists, but every graffiti artist knows the difference.

i, for one, know that i just throw cool looking words on the walls of bus stations and bathrooms with a fat chisel-tip sharpie. some call it graffiti, but i call it tagging.

i just asked for people to post shit they put on walls, whether it's a tag or a graff, i don't care.

Dont try to criticize something you dont understand... The VAST MAJORITY of graffiti writers have a tag and put it up frequently. Graffiti started with tagging, look at cornbread or TAKI 183, all their early shit is literally scribbles on walls. dont say that graffiti artists dont respect tagging because frankly you dont know what the fuck you are talking about. Ive been writing for a few years and have been immersed in the culture for a long time. I will agree that people who write fuck or penis in block letters in the bathroom stall are stupid, but thats not tagging thats blatant vandalism and ignorance.

pet peeve:people calling someone peicing, tagging...he isnt tagging that wall...tagging takes ~3 seconds.

I've been an artist for over 8 years now, 'tagging' in public places is NOT respected by the graffiti artists I know. When I first started I would write words in my notebook but I would NEVER put anything on a wall unless I could make it a thing of beauty which takes hours and hours and hours. If you are not contributing to making something look better or interesting in public just don't do it, why make something LESS appealing? to piss someone off? uncool.
