How much is it to go to windells to just ski the setup?

Pretty sure you cant just go ski the set up... You have to be invited, or go to the camp or coach.

pro camp. check the windells website. it's a lot less expensive than the other camps...but still not really worth it I don't think. You can ski the whole summer at hood for the same price.

no...you get the pro camp pass and you ski the windells park for a week. no coaching or anything.

you get the mt hood summer pass and you can ski the public park (which is sick) for the whole summer and it will probably cost less than the windells pro pass. but no you won't be able to ski the windells park with a public pass.

frankly its not really that hard to get in at dusk or when not very many people are there. everyone theres wearing a tall t so u wont stand out

idk how much public park costs but its kinda crappy. just to ski windells park is $800 for the week. Personally, i think the camp is better because you get so much more for not THAT much of a price difference. you get the off hill stuff which is sick and tons of free swag. plus awesome coaches and video reviews. Even if you just do day camp and sleep somewhere else or tent it, i think its better. If ur lookin just to ride, the parks amazing, if ur looking to improve, go as a day or overnight camper.

ive been there twice b4. i messaged him on fb. and ive never tried sneaking into windells park, but itd be totally easy as long as ur not obvious about. theres no one like checking tickets at the entrance... at least there wasnt last year. you need to get on the lift tho... cuz its all melted at the bottom and its a reallyyy long hike... so idk. if you get caught or hurt ur fucked tho

well, if o you go to pro camp you'll get coached.  Just tag along in a group, they don't care.  I was in downeys group and I skied with hornbeck for like a whole day one time, just because my group was doing somthing different than I wanted to do (sentence souded awkward).  Anyway, If you are to sneak into windells, you would need to get the timberline lift ticket anyway, so it is going to cost some money.  It would be easy to do, just remember that windells lane opens at 10ish so don't go in before

when i was there two kids got caught and got fucked. the diggers sit at the top and cook dogs the whole day and they usually know who belongs. dont sneak in.

sneaking into windells is pretty damn hard.  When I went last year people were getting called out left and right. usually the end result was the poacher would say that he is on a flow sponsorship and that his team manager e-mailed windells, when in reality he was just poaching.  After he plead his case, the coaches/diggers/worker/whoever was around that had authority would start calling him out and just making a scene so that he wouldn't come back.  I'm pretty sure they take your pass, but it depends on whether the poacher is nice and reasonable or is a douchebag.  Also, everyone can spot poachers pretty easily.  Every camper is either 17 or under, so if you look anything older than that then they will ask for your windells pass. And if you're not in a coaching group or group of 17 and under kids, then you will look sketch; for example, if you are with a couple buddies or if you are alone, then everyone will think you are probably poaching.  And, you will stand out if you are just using the chair to lap, instead of hiking or taking the rope because basically every windells camper is hiking/taking the rope.  The only people who aren't always hiking are the diggers or friends of workers who get in cuz they got the hookups.

sparknotes: physically getting into windells park is easy, but once you're in you stand out like a sore thumb and will get the boot.

I had a friend who stayed at Hood for a couple weeks last summer. Didn't pay for a ticket once and poached the Windells park most of the time. Lived out of his car too. So you could technically ski the Windells park with a public pass, you'd just have to poach.

Not much of a price difference?!? A summer pass to Tline is in the ballpark of $800, and that is for the ENTIRE summer. So theoretically, if you're really dedicated, you can get in more skiing in the summer than most would in a year, and do it for probably thousands of dollars less than the equivalent time in camp, and not have to deal with that fuckin drive every day to and from timberline.

To OP, you're better off just not dealing with windell's park. It can be difficult to poach... sometimes. I've done it without problem, but not worth paying in addition to the lift tickets by any means, since the public park can be pretty solid.

it would be pretty sketch.  basically your coach knows where you are most of the time.  If you were by yourself you would look way out of place.  You might get asked by a coach or a worker whose group you are in or something like that, and if that happened you would probably be kicked out.  The reason why hiking next to a group of skiers is sketch is because everyone knows each other if you are in the same group.

I don't think you should NOT go. just don't plan your whole trip on poaching windells cuz it might not work out.
