I just read all of that and that guy is awesome.  I love how he just hops out of his car, blasts music, and fixes everything himself after each stage.

Learning to build a roll cage isn't really that hard. A couple years ago when I was an autoshop head we used to have the fabrication guys from the welding classes make them for people's shitty little civics and stuff lol.

He wasn't even competing against them, he was racing in the Rally America event.  If he did manage to beat any WRC drivers they either had major problems or crashed.  The times are somewhere in this thread http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=4814862&page=1 But he ends up getting 4th in his class, after time penalties.
