Yeah, I saw that...you're still wrong.  The original teams of the NHL were 4 Canadian teams.  The first American team didn't enter until 1924 (Boston Bruins).

So my original post was right...I already said that even with the fact that there were more Canadian teams in the early years it probably doesn't matter as far as the ratios of championships to teams goes.

There are Canadian and American players on each team in the NHL so what point are people trying to make by saying American teams have more cups than Canadian or vice versa? it's absolutely retarded

EXACTLY, you won at a sport that you dominate. Thats it. Over. Thats all you did. Basketball, football, lacrosse, soccer, and more are sports that the US would most likely beat Canada at. Yeah the stereotypical American is stupid, fat, and loves some cheap ass fast food. But America is still the worlds superpower and its not for no reason.

Meh, I still think China is the worlds superpower right now, its just not as obvious and clearly would not get published in US media. But if you aks most people in academai who study this kind of thing I think they would tell you that China is currently running a vast proportion of the world. But thats just my opinion. 

And you are right, it is hard to compete with a country 4 times your population. Trust me, we know, seeing as we try and compete with a neighbour 10 times our population.

I just got back from Mexico and I can safely say that Canadians are equally fat, stupid, lazy, and annoyingly patriotic as Americans. I would actually say that Canadians are more patriotic, I have never seen so many poorly drawn maple leaf tattoos. You Canadians are living in a dream world if you think all your citizens are super athletic and intelligent.

You are not really Americas hat, you are America's suburb.

Don't know what being in Mexico has to do with Canadians...

And many canadians are not patriotic. In fact I have argued in many essays before that we really have no national identity, aside from identifying ourselves as non-American. And noone has ever said that all our citizens are super athletic and intelligent.

There were a lot of Canadians vacationing in Mexico. Every single one of them was wearing a Canadian shirt, hat, or body part with a Maple Leaf on it. If not for this maple leaf they would look exactly like every American there.

Europeans were easy to pick out because of their short shorts though. A man should never wear this style of pant.

And honestly that is why a lot of Canadians wear maple leafs etc when they travel, its the best way to distinguish them from Americans to foreigners, and Canadians are usually treated better than Americans while travelling (to the majority of places at least). My cousines were born and raised in MD, but have Canadian citizenship and travel mainly on their Canadian passports, they claim they receive better treatment while traveling as a canadian rather than an american.

Again, only furthering my argument that Canadians are not patriotic, just identify ourselves as not american.
