I use a tripod with a handle on it, that works good, that or a glidecam. But there really is no cheap way to get smooth shots without some sort of camera stabalizer.

what i did for mine is got an aluminum bar from lowes and put it in a vise and bent it to the shape i want( like a U kinda) then drill a hole and find a bolt that fits the mount on your camera

If you wanna roll cheap as fuck, find a old dumbbell, get a screw that fits the tripod hole, attach the two. BAM. Steady cam.
