GOPRO error with Final Cut

Was just trying to import some clips into final cut and it comes up with an error saying "Error: 1 recognized, 1 missing, .." I've done a bit of research on it and believe it's because the files are .mp4's but I had other .mp4 clips that worked just fine. I've also heard I might need to convert them to another type of file but that's just a pain in the ass. If anyone has an easier fix/ has ran into this same problem, help is appreciated

write the file name as a different file, but its actually a .mp4 so the gopro thinks its a different file but when u get to your computer switch name back to .mp4 and play it normally? this worked for me on my camera...

not really sure what that mean ^. Itll open up using quicktime, just importing into final cut is when the error comes up.
