im a little rusty on my bio, but..

jellyfish, some coral, some sponges, arent jsut born and grow in size, they're born and go into stages of growth, sometimes it looks like a completely different anima, a good example is butterflies. imagine a buterfly that could wrap it self in a cacoon and turn into a caterpiler again and have a fresh start.

this is borderline disturbing. i dont like the idea of people getting a hold of this...scares the shit out of me

are you aware of the near impossibilities with taking some of the traits of a jellyfish, a living  creature with almost no internal parts and fusing them with human dna in an effort to make people that can revert back to being a baby?? and that totaly couldnt work. we dont grow in stages. (puberty dosent count)

now with hat said.

'immortality' could in theory be achieved, its already possible to extend the life of a mouse by almost 30%
and now that might not sound like alot and that were still miles away from that goal. which we are, but think about it like this.

mans been liking the idea of flight forever, its a prehistoric thought, and thats only been acheived relatively recently. but look whats happened, then it came to motorised flight, then trans continental flights, jet engines, and even space flight, all in that short period of time from when we first started to fly. pseudo immortality would come by baby steps, increasing life spans by a few years on average, then other discoveries will be made, and lives will be increased exponetially. the breakthroughs will become more and more frequent and soon people would be living for 150 years, 300, 1000 years.

sure it seems far fetched but more than possible. and a cool thought too.
