Thoughts about First Drop?

So last week I preordered First Drop's purple with yellow accent hoodie and it still hasn't come. Did anyone else have this problem? Did you get yours? Quality? Bonus STICKERS? What are your thoughts on First Drop and would you recommend this company to another skier? Post your thought here.

my friends saga has 20k and it still gets wet so im not so sure about 8k

just got my red and white one a couple days ago, super good quality for the price, and mine came with 4 stickers which was so sick. Love my hoodie

yeah i pre-ordered an xl purple and yellow hoodie before christmas... and i got it about a month later. and when i did, they sizing was way small, so i had to return it and since it was so small i ordered a 2xl tall. i just got the 2xl tall a few days ago and it was 2 feet longer than the xl.. i heard that the first wave of clothing, the sizes ran small, and apparently this wave ran a little big. so i sent that back and ordred a normal 2xl, hope it fits well. shipping takes forever and i have not exactly had a positive experience with firstdrop, but hopefully once i get a fitting hoodie my desires will be fullfilled. oh and i did indeed get stickers and a bandana with the first order so im stoked about that

A lot depends on the number of layers in the fabric, how it's taken care of, and how the garment is constructed.

I'm interested in the First Drop stuff. I've had Goretex wet through on me, and my current 20K suit does just fine in all day rain. So I've used the numbers more as a guide and then asked people about how it actually functions. Which is the purpose of my post.

i ordered my first drop stuff on the 25th february, just arrived today but im in England so that might make a difference. got the purple hoodie with yellow accent in xxl tall and the purple tee with blue accent in the same size. theyre fucking sikk, reeli good size, come down to just above my knees. didnt get any stickers though :(

8k? Hell no, you will be soaked fully through in real rain with 5/8/10k. 20k is maybe passable depending on the fabric. If you are going to be exposed to rain your only options are Gore-tex or eVent (on the Armada shells)..

I just got a surprise in the mail.  2xl yellow on purple hoodie.  I wanted something a little longer than my xl Jiberish, like a couple inches.  Xl Jiberish is about 33 inches long if I am not mistaken, and the FD is 37 inches.  I heard alot about the first batch being a bit smaller, so I figured that an 2xl would be a little smaller than advertised and be perfect.  Honestly, I would have been perfectly happy with an xl, because the 2xl is MASSIVE.  Haha at first I thought it was too big for me, then I put it on and it didn't look too long.  It is a couple inches from the tops of my knees.  I actually just looked in the mirror, and it's really not as big I you think when you look down.  Sure it is long, but it's not half way down you shins.  I thought my xl Jiberish was huge when I got it and now I find it perfect.  This is mostly because all my old hoodies are too small for me (yes, they are actually too small, not just too small compared to what I have now.  Most of mine are size medium and large and they only go to my waist or a little below)  Anyway, there is my short review so far.  Here are some pictures:

It doesn't look as tall in the pictures.  I think it is just when you have it on and look down it just goes on forever haha.

Just got mine monday and I love it! it was def worth the wait. but if there is anything i have to comment about it is that the left draw string had very,very,very loose random threads coming out of it that lead to nowhere, and that there was loose final threads from sewing. it almost looked like they rushed through it. but its great! it came with 3 die cuts! crazy how it seems very thin its super warm! will definately post an edit of me with it on soon.

Just got mine in yesterday, ordered xxlt, it goes down to my knee cap.. haha didnt expect it to be that tall, but it is soo sick. (im 5'7).

You are 4 inches shorter than me, got a hoodie 5 inches longer, and it goes to your kneecap?  That doesn't sound right.  Mine goes to about 2 inches above my knee.

got the blue with yellow accent and it is sick.  i got the xl and it goes right down to my knees    about 2 inches above.   im 5 foot 6 and it fits perfect      also they look sick when you get them in person    way better then on the website.

yes its 8k, i own a fd suit. it was raining, i was fine. just the top layer gets wet, but your super warm inside.  i was not soaked fully through.
