He did, very sad. We also lost Richard Burns just two years earlier to throat cancer or something like that. Subaru made a limited edition WRX in his honor and it is absolutely BALLER.

yes driving even the same car normally would be faster. every time your spinning the tires thats power not getting put to the ground and not accelerating you forward, its slower around corners and going sideways into a braking zone is much slower too. any decent 30,000 dollar sports car could probably go about that fast if they werent drifting, and a formula 1 car could probably do the whole thing then back and fourth twice in the same time.

okay, so while i do acknowledge that in general tanner is a far more skilled rally driver than ken, when doing the comparison of this video to the ghymkhana video, the Q motor-oil "all smoke and no mirrors" award of the day goes to ken block. because he had WAY more angle on his drifts, faster/cleaner transition between corners, and very close proximity to objects in his drifts.

didnt tanner used to drift in the Falken mustang?

I used to be on a couple forums where you would do that if you just agreed because you needed a 3 character minimum for your post. On NS you can obviously blank post because lots of people do but I never figured out how to so I just do that.

except ken had like a million tries for each shot, which makes him loose right there, you dont get a shit ton of tries for each section of a drift track or gymkhana in real life.  there are so many unknown people who could destroy ken.  ken just has a shit ton of money, and the fact that he did it in an sti with dc stuff all over the place makes everyone think its the sickest thing ever. tanner did his all in one run, and it was almost as flawless as kens.  plus ken had awd, which is so much easier when it comes to drifting to get those angles and be able to pull out of them.
