haha its not a scion, atleast not anymore, the body isnt even the same, it just resembles it.
and the subaru's you see ken block and pastrana in arent even close to the sti's you see on the streets, they are 200,000 + race cars, basically every part that can be replaced is, if you drove the street car and the rally car back to back, i guarentee that you wouldnt find any real similarities in how they drive at all. apart from that they are both awd cars and have awd car characteristics.
honsetly, ken block is a glorified gentleman racer, he 99% payed his way in, if it werent for his huge amounts of cash he can put into it, his skill wouldnt have gotten him even close to where he is today, he would just be another random rally racer that nobody really knows of. he still has tons of tallent, but there are so many drivers out there that would be so much more impressive if they had the money backing them that ken does. IMO kyle sarasin is a more tallented rally driver than ken or travis, but he just doesnt have anywhere near the budget they do. he can compete with both of them with a car that costs 1/5 the price of their's, and nowhere near as good of a team backing him.
and as far as drifting skill, im gonna have to say tanner has ken beat for sure. awd drifting is way easier, you can get into and pull out of such bigger slides so much easier, and when your in the slide, rwd is so much harder to control. plus tanner did that in one take, and his drifts were just as impressive as any of ken's in a car thats way harder to control. and ken had tons of different try's for all his gymkhana shots.
i dont mind ken block, he's putting great use to all his money, he's a tool, not someone i could hang out with, but i do respect him. he's just not that amazing of a driver. all the ken block lovers are worse tho, the douche's you see in their sti's with dc and monster stickers on their car, thinking their subaru is such a rally car cause ken block (used to) drive one, and they can get it sideways sometimes in the snow.
