So I'm not a super experienced builder, but I am planning on making a few boards this spring (I actually made an independent study class out of it, amazing what you can get a guidance counselor/shop teacher do as a senior)
One idea I have been tossing around is the junk/RRR board. I want to use nothing but junk, duct tape and minimal wood and glue to make the board. I'm not looking for the worlds best performing board I just want to prove it can be done and probably make a halfway decent cruising board.
In a perfect world this thing would be made of nothing but duct tape and cardboard but that's not gonna happen. I know I'm gonna need to use some wood (or possibly metal) but whatever of that I'm gonna use I want to find in a dumpster or construction site just lying around (I know to ask if I can take it first, that's how I got my friends box built).
I'm really just blanking on how to do this. I'm thinking about tackling this one first cause I blew most of my money on my press which is almost done, and this one would be the cheapest one to start with until I save up more to get enough money to press the first few boards.
any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
