my friend swears by BF2 and thinks its the best game ever made....but COD is also pretty sick for a first person shooter, BF2 allows you to do more shit though in terms of driving vehicles, ect...

The Battlefield series in general requires more tactics since the entire multiplayer is all objective based. CoD on the other hand is more run and gun get kills as fast as you can.

Really, outside of being in the first person view and involving shooting people there isn't much in the gameplay that is similar.

battlefield started on the computer as battlefield 1942. And bad company 2 is insane. Theres absolutely nothing like arcing a massive long distance sniper shot across the map into someones dome.

Basically, if you like driving tanks/flying helicopters/really big maps/more team and squad-based tactics, get BF, you wont be disappointed.

Also, im pretty sure there is a free demo you can download... always a good idea to do before buying a game.

I got BFBC2 the other day from Blockbuster and...

Holy shit. I have never played a better game.

Online is just ridiculously epic, and the career is AWESOME (although short) and it never gets boring.

Online is one of the coolest bits though, it's so sick that you can collapse buildings if you punish them with explosives enough.

The other day I collapsed an already weakened 2 story building onto 5 people and killed them all. WIN.

I would have to agree. Until you get idiots that are using the Recon class and only looking for kills and aren't trying to use their C4 to take out tanks and stuff.

very tight. Not to the point that theyre annoying, but they feel SUPER clean.

Plus if you have an HD tv the graphics are mindblowing.

Probably because that was the BETA. Between the BETA and demo the graphics got much cleaner looking.




ALSO, Bad Company 2.... you can level entire buildings.

Recon has mortars in bad company 2. I can usually get in the top 3 every game being a recon simply because of all the teamwork points you get mortaring and marking different people. I do agree there not quite as teamwork worthy as say an engineer or medic tho. Sniping is just SOOOO satisfying

Oh it can be teamwork worthy. When I was on defense everyone but me had a mic so they told me to take a Recon kit, hold up in a tall building, and spend my time spotting people, taking a couple out, and throwing the C4 near objectives to blow up people before they got to the objective. It worked out great.

I haven't unlocked the mortars yet though, when I do I know I will be destroying as much as possible.

They pop up as orange. Besides I think only people in your squad can hear you and at Valdez at least in the first area of defense there are only two roads that the other team can come down and EVERYONE is always looking that way.

And what do you mean get one again?

PS3 has the two Uncharted games, Killzone 2, Resistance 1+2, free online, and BluRay. Controllers aren't as nice as the Xbox ones though.

MW2 is massively better. Battlefield was the best online shooter around but when MW1 came out it just blew every other online FPS out of the water. Bad Company 2 is just nowhere near as good.

I had a ps3 like 2 years ago but i sold it to a friend... i much prefer the playstation controller to the xbox one...
Was Resistance 2 any good? All i know forsure i wanna get is BF:bc2 and skate 2...

Resistance is probably the closest thing on PS3 to a legit shooter exclusive like Halo. KZ2 is awesome but has a slightly funky feeling control set up. I really enjoyed Resistance 1 and Resistance 2 was very fun.

bvattlefield bad comapny 2 is hands down better and less frustrating to play

i still play cod and its still fun but cod has the comando fags and onemanarmy noob tubers and example i was playing a game like 20min ago and there was 2 harriers and a chopper gunner in the sky and in battlefield the vehicles are easy to take out and not as devestating

and its more tatical if your a medic you have to acutally be a medic unless your a dick and just use the lmg i got like 4k points in a single game and only got like 5 kills but like 30 revives and heals

they are super fucking hard to pilot but if youre a gunner and the pilot is someone that knows what the fuck he is doing, it gets mad fun. The M1A1 Abrams is the best ground vehicle in that game. As soon as you roll up to the other teams base and raise hell, the run scared shitless. soo much fun

Have you played the Battlefield series? If you had you would know that Battlefield is made by the guys at Dice which was the developer that the guys from Infinity Ward left when they got all pissy and shit shortly after the first Medal of Honor on the Xbox and PS2.

Yes I do know that it is developed by Digital Illusions, but I still dont think that EA is up to par on what they decide to publish. Thats the word I should have used before, publish. I have played all of the BF games except for 2142 (which I hear sucked anyways) and have also played all of the COD games. I honestly think that both series have gone downhill (COD after COD2 and BF after BF1942), but thats just my opinion. Sure they have made giant leaps in graphics but the games dont have the same "feel" that they used to. This is all coming from a PC gamer perspective though, so it is probably a lot different from what you experience.

COD: 4 was amazing, and might not have been as epic as COD 2 was at the time, but there had not been an epic modern shooter out....

And also, BF2 was my favorite game ever... I played so many hours on BF2 it was crazy... I mean it was the first game out where you unlocked shit and leveled up in an FPS and you could pilot etc.


your wrong dude, COD series stayed up to par with COD4 (even though MW2 should have probably been better) and battlefield series was amazing with BF2....

So I am retarded for not liking a game as much as everyone else? All i'm saying is that I don't like the feel of the newer games, and i also hate the fact that you can unlock stuff and level up in FPS games, save that for shitty mmorpgs and WOW. I don't like games that give you an advantage just by playing for more time (TF2,BF2,COD:MW, and a bunch of others), imo it takes away from the skill of the game. I'm kind of an old school PC gamer, I still think that DoD was oe of the best multiplayer games ever creted.

But again, this is just how I feel about it, you can disagree but no need to call me retarded haha.
