Tahoe

Tahoe has still been getting some good storms still....stay away from the big places like Squaw and Heavenly on the weekends because it will get tracked out and crowded super quick. Sugar Bowl and Homewood are great on pow days, boreal will be fun for park and night skiing. I'll be in Tahoe for spring break but I usually ride wherever I can barrow a friends pass which is usually Northstar...their park will be top notch for spring break shredding too....

Hit up Heavenly, i usually go there the 20th thru the 30th but i couldnt this year but its usually really good parks still around and lots of snow

If you're in the South Lake area (near Heavenly), and can handle a short drive, hit up Kirkwood. It's about 45 minutes away, but there are no crowds, and some serious terrain. Not really much of a park, but fresh lasts longer there than any resort in Tahoe. If you are looking for park skiing, I agree with what was said before... Northstar will be where it's at.

were you staying boreal and heave are on oppisite sides of the lake. honestly heave is my home mountain but thats just becuase its out my backdoor and i have an AT setup for real terrain if i was on vacation i would much rather go other places like squaw, kirkwood, alpine, sugar bowl, and maybe boreal for park. but squaw and alpine have good parks and awsome terrain those are where i would go if i was in vacation especially from the east you u can do whatever type of skiing you want all at one place. 

go to squaw or kirkwood, everything else just isn't as good

IMHO squaw is unbeatable, k-wood is sick too, heavenly and flatstar are crowded and flat, homewood is pretty and uncrowded but small, alpine is like a mini squaw...so why not drive an extra 10 mins. i guess i'm partial to west shore because i've spent most time there, the backcountry is good there too, jakes and rubicon peak are easy tours that will most likely already have skin tracks in so you know where to go, or tallac if you want a burly climb

regardless of snow i will always have a really good day at squaw, there's just so much shit there to jump off and vast terrain

homewood is just too big and crowded and it only rains there, besides you can't see the lake while skiing so don't go there. i hear quail face blows cock

Go to Squaw, if you are lucky enough to get a pow day it will be epic, if you get sun squaw's park is pretty dope in the spring time. You can always find something fun to ski at squaw regardless of what type of day it is. Definitely the best mountain on the north shore.

if there's enough sun squaw is unreal, everything is soft

stick to granite and tower 16 in the morning and then when that gets baked move over eventually ending with like 5 KT power laps

Alpine Meadows always has a bomb jump lime and some cool rails in the late spring, so be sure to head over there. Jonahs, the park manager, has plans to set up the park so you can ski Palisades (some pretty fun terrain, steep with nice cliffs) to a jib yard below. From the jib yard to a rail garden, then to a jump line. Jonahs builds the best jumps, plus the whole-mountain park run will make it sick.

Squaw is an awesome place- there are endless options. The book Squallywood by Scott Gaffney outlines virtually every cool line at squaw, save some of the most secret ones. The park gets crazy if they build the mainline, but Belmont is pretty small.

Northstar = flat and crowded.

Heavenly = flat and crowded, except for Mott and killbrew canyons. Those are pretty killington-y though, just a little steeper.

Homewood is a place you go to if the rest of the resorts are closed because of winds. When it gusts 160 at Alpine, homewood is usually ok. That'll only happen if it's snowing.

Boreal is a cool place for creative jibs- go on a day when you plan to ski the night, too, because almost the entire park is lit.

Sugarbowl is one of my favorite places on a pow day. Otherwise, expect awesome terrain big mountain type terrain, surprisingly creative jibs, and surprisingly dissapointing jumps, judging by a recent trip.
