So last season i had to suffer through my mistake in buying Marker Free 11's becasuse the tech at my dad's favorite race shop convinced him they were basically indestructible :|............ Needless to say both me and my brother broke the whole brake system after landing switch a couple of times. The heelpiece still functioned.. poorly, but we had to tie them to our legs.
Anyways this year i tried to make sure I didnt make the same mistake. I bought Px 12 jibs from evo gear, and at first they were amazing. After about 3 months the heelpiece has snapped because it was made out of half inch thick polymer. To me this should be covered by the warranty because they are specifically designed for "expert" freestyle skiers. And no expert, and its not like i rode them everyday or half as hard as most... Maybe its just wishful thinking but willl they try to accomodate me? Here is there policy :
"Warranty All Dynastar and Lange products sold in the U.S. are covered by a limited warranty, valid for the original purchaser for one year (five years for Alpine Bindings or the alpine binding component of an Integral System), from the original date of purchase. The warranty covers defects in workmanship or materials, NOT ABUSIVE USE. ROCK DAMAGE, ABUSED PRODUCTS, AND NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR WILL NOT BE COVERED. Contact Shopatron directly for any specific warranty questions or issues. A copy of the warranty policy and all pertinent contact information is included on the packing slip enclosed with your purchase."
Now why would you warranty something for 5 years if you were only going to cover defects. Or is the fact that a 150 dollar binding designed specifically for park skiing snaps due to a defect?
