man sorry to hear about your leg that sucks!
so good choice on wanting to make steezy clothes its awesome. first you will need a few things.
1.sewing macine
2.know how to use it
3.fabric
4.patience, lots of it
so how i got started was i got a basic wal mart hoodie, stripped off the sleeves and pocket and wrist cuffs, added a few stripes of orange and zebra to make it longer, got the sleeves laid out on the fabric (split one of the stock sleeves apart) traced the top and measured bottom then made it like 10" longer.
you will probably mess up a few times but its no big just hang in there.
Heres the zebranator:
now if you want to make hoodies from scratch which is way more legit and not too much harder once youve mastered that^, you will need a few more things like a TEMPLATE! go to the fabric store, look around in those books till you find a normal hoodie template and get it out of the cabinet thing. its crappy thin paper so what i did was traced the main components onto thick paper.
first step is to get your drawing of how you want it to look, then make a big rectangle of the fabric, like so:
then you sew it together, make a MIRROR of that same exact peice, then make a hood, sew it on, make sleeves, sew them on, like so : (i re-did the hood in the front btw)
and finally sew on your ribbing. when you do this, make sure when your pinning it on to evenly distribute the stretch through the whole sleeve/waist.
the final step is to wear it and look super steezy!
good luck if you have any questions hit me up
