Replying to Why is skiing so serious?
As cliche I know this entire thread is going to sound, I'll make it anyways.
People need to smile more when they're skiing, or at least show in some aspect that they're having fun. I'm watching the superunknown finalist edits and in some of them I almost feel scared. Actually no, I'm not scared, but really. All these super serious intros or gunshots and whatnot, really? Not ever being able to see a kids face or personality come through in his skiing just portrays a vibe that I find wayyy too serious for skiing. So, next time you go skiing...smile. Maybe even laugh. You don't have to be so hard, really. Claim something when you land it, or don't land it. Have more fun. On the contrary, I really liked Marshall Lacroix's edit for superunkown because it wasn't so serious, and a different, more personal feel.
And before I get completely hated on and my karma lowered (oh my god!), I will give the mandatory (or what seems to be on this forum nowadays) forum disclaimer:
"The following text is the original poster's opinion and cannot be regarded as hate or misfortune to any group or person associated, or not, with skiing."
Thanks :)
