Who should have won gold?

I'm going to go ahead and say it because everyone is thinking it...should Bobby B have taken gold? I have so much respect for Tom and Bobby (gargle gargle gargle i know) and I think they both killed it really hard. But IMO, Bobby's run was a lot more technical. Tom stomped the SHIT out of all of his landings, but Bobby nailed the switch double misty.

No hate towards Tom at all...he was murkin' shit. And you can see in Bobby's reaction that he was a little surprised... What do you think?

i wasn't going to reply to this thread... honestly, I don't even know why i clicked on it. I won't say shit as to weather the judging was right or wrong, if so and so should have taken it over the other guy...

all I will say is - take in mind, I haven't seen his run yet - if the most tech run should win, without style being a factor, shouldn't it have been TJ who won? he's the only one who did three doubles, along with other solid tricks... based on trick list along, he probably had the most tech run, simply because of the three doubles.


judging is what it is - get over it and enjoy the show, the competitors care less than some of you people as to who got first.

nah it should have been close which it was and they are both monsters but bobby's double misty shouldn't win him everything and im glad it didn't cuz IMO tom's run was still better.

both runs were amazing, bobby did some better tricks but Walisch's landings were unreal.

I love the way Candide was slaging off the judges, just summed up what everybody was thinking. IMHO TJ was robbed the most, saying that everyone threw down

I did like Bobby's run a lot, I think it was the cleanest run I've seen out of him, but I'd have to say Wallisch's was better all around, I mean there is no way to have a cleaner run, he threw multiple right and left side spins, he had more on the rails, and that dub cork 10 was sickening. Plus, he played the clarinet in the 4th grade...

and whats with all the uproar about the commentator mentioning the clarinet thingy? i thought he was a lot better than uncle e. at least he did not say "remember kids the skull is the heaviest bone of the body. where its headed the body will follow." every two seconds

imo bobbys and toms doubles, rail tricks, and left spins balanced each other out. so it came to right spins which wallisch had bobby beat on as well as i think t wall had better style.

JUST A THOUGHT, but i think ESPN is trying to start something similar to the Tanner Hall/Simon Dumont rivalry that they have been building up for the last few years, but in men's slopestyle. Thoughts?

bobby had 2 7s in his run, and that was his one rightside trick. a right 7....

twall had sw right 10. a 5 sure. but then right 9. and 2 dubs as well. and better rail maneuvers.

the dub misty is sick, but i dont think that alone gives bobby the win, when you see how bad his rightside stuff was compared to wallisch, and wallisches rails.

but seriously. tj got robbed. 3 dubs. and steeze.

I'd take Tom's Sw Dub Rodeo over Bobby's Sw Dub Misty anyday

I'm frankly bored of seeing Double Corks, and I don't enjoy watching Dub Mistys or Bios

The highlights for me were Tom's Sw Dub Rodeo, and Henrik's Dub Underflip

so you're saying that the winner should be chosen from one trick? this isnt big air. watch it again and check how much better wallisch is in switch rightside and rightside then bobby. not to mention his landings are much better than bobby's landings.

Both runs were ill, but if you guys wanna see the sickest AFTERBANG, check out wallisch's run 1 dub cork 10... Legit THE most rediculous afterbang of ALL TIME.  He actually bounces off the ground lol

I was watching it in the library at school. Even though I was surrounded by people, I still had to get up, and try and work out how he threw it. So I was standing in the middle of a library, trying to set a Dub Underflip, I was that stoked on it.

does anyone think about style in these comps anymore? twall had it for sure. sorry but i really don't like bobby's style. Hes got some style but its no where near as clean as twalls, henriks, jossi's or tj's. Just my opinion. Only good looking dubs i saw as well was henriks, twalls and jossis. can anyone carve as hard as jossi on a dub 12? if i were judging it would have been

am i the only one who thinks it doesnt fuckin matter? they both got the podium, they are both friends, and they both are going to see a lot more of each other throughout their careers. as long as they feel like they did good and are happy with their runs on a personal level who cares.
if i were competing against one of my friends it would be fun as shit to be on the podium with each other!

Bobby Brown had a great run but I Loved Tom Wallischs Run He Had the best style and landings by far Bobby Brown may have thrown bigger tricks but Tom Wallischs run had some great tricks i think he deserved to win

That course was so sick!  How many jumps?  7?  I love that!  They got to throw some slow stylish tricks and some huge stuff as well, props on the course design.

I think both Bobby and Tom had unreal runs (I can't believe how far skiing has come, those runs score low 90s!!!).  Either one could have taken it and I would be happy.

So stoked on skiing right now.

I think Tom deserved the win.

Because the paid professional judges, in their opinion, decided he had a better run, and gave him more points. It would have been really awkward if they gave Bobby the gold with less points.

If they just went by the opinion of a bunch of trend following, ignorant, 15 year olds on the internet, and not by the scores...then yes, maybe Bobby could have won.
