just got word that my roommate got caught in a pretty considerable slide today. dislocated both shoulders but wasn't buried and came out ok. he was just recently trained in avy safety, but he stuck to one of the most important rules and was with other people. so no matter how well prepared you think, or what the danger is, stay alert at all time.

definately. spring conditions make for dangerous snowpack. always gotta watch yourself out there.
