I am in the market for some new skis next season but need to do my research. I'm 6'4" 200lbs. very very aggresive skier. I ski everything but im looking for a park specific ski in this instance. i currently ride 177 public enemies with Rossignol scratch 120 bindings. the stiffness of the public enemy allows me to ride that short of a ski but i was wondering if getting a softer flex ski would make me wash out that much more and if it would be a bad idea. any knowledge on this topic NS? thanks for the feedback
Thats the entire reason that I'm selling my 177 afterbangs. Im 6'4 185lbs and I cant stand short skis. I'm going big next year ;). Thats what she said.
If you like your PEs and find them stable then just base off that. For a just park ski it's preferance a lot, I ski 202s most days and most likely won't be on anything in the 180s in park next year(i'll be on something stifff and in the 170s). I'm not great at park or anything though..., I just clicked the thread to tell you to get 190+ if it was for anything but pure park, longer skis are so much more fun(and stable, and charge 1000% better, and all around better, and look better).
scared to go too big. i have a pair of 186 for all mountain which is fine but feel like i'm tryin to get fuckin trees around on my spins and when i'm inverted
if you center mount 185 volkl walls, guaranteed you wont feel like you're huckin 2 by 4s. theyre light and skinny enough that they'll be nimble in any situation
def go bigger man. i'm 6'3" and i make my 185s look small. i'm going bigger next year for parks skis, hopefully this years kung fujas
yeah go way bigger than 177, I'm 6'4 too and I ride 181's which measure a lot longer than other 181's, and they're just perfect for park, but too short for riding in powder of charging or stuff like that.
