Final Cut Error

I am using final cut express and i have been working on a video for about the entire season. But when i go to render one small clip i am getting the error message "Insufficient disk space for render. Please free up disk space and try again." 

How would i go about fixing this problem?

You need to free up space wherever your scratch disk is. You're running low on hard drive space.

thanks but how would i locate my scratch disk?

final cut express-->system settings-->wherever the location is set too, thats where you will find your render folder.

Do you have an external hard drive or are you using your computers internal drive?

i took your advice, cleared the scratch disk, and it worked. But the problems back and there is nothing else to delete. what should i do?

If theres nothing else you can delete, you will need to get an external hard drive.

final cut exports are usually very large, especially in HD so you will probably have to get a external hard drive with enough space. depending on what version you are using you may be able to export in a compressed version that wouldn't take up as much space. look under the options when you try to export the video

get compression (you can torrent it)..it will export your final rendered video in a smaller..compressed if you will, format that does not eat space and can even make the video quality better.
