and im pretty sure tom wallisch knows more about park skiing and jumps than everyone else on this thread, also, watch the set of a proper flatspin (colby west in mfiap), the watch all the other kang sets in the otrher joss edits, the watch atextbook rodeo (C-van)

then you will see that it is a double rodeo

also i know a kid in a program where u need to qualify jumps and be coached everyting and shit, and they say it is a dub rodeo

finnally i read in a magazine interview with Jon Olsson, and JO says it is  adouble rodeo

he invented the trick, so im pretty sure he would know what is

That's sick man, congrats!!! And it's a pretty sick looking dub especially for second try. Did you hit any water ramps in the off season to try it before hand?

And to the people saying it's not a kangaroo, just shut up. A kang, a dub rodeo 9, and a dub flat 9 are all pretty much the same trick. People throw corks all different ways, but they are still corks. Not every trick needs an exact name to differentiate it from other tricks that are basically the same. And who cares what it's called anyways? Different people have different names for tricks, deal with it. Sorry to seem so touchy, but it aggravates me when people try to over-categorize tricks and tell other people that their trick name is stupid or wrong. Honestly, who cares? A sick trick is a sick trick regardless of it's name.

right, well they also would know that a rodeo NEEDS 540 degrees rotation- so therefore you CANNOT double rodeo 9. 2 rodeo's would be 1080 at least.

I don't understand how people can still think a rodeo can be anythig less than 540.

Kangaroo flip- dub flat 9.

The truth is that most Kangs are 2 slightly off axis backflips and a late 180. Everyone grabs japan which drops the shoulder.

Whether the "math" adds up or not, a "kangaroo flip" (god, I hate that fucking name) is traditionally a dub rodeo 9. I can think of a handful of people who are doing dub flat spin 9s (B-Paul is the best example...Wallisch does one in the new Jiberish edit), but, if you watch Wester, Jon, Andreas, etc. there's no way you could call those tricks dub flatspins.

On a barely related note, I'm tired of this whole "flat 3" phenomenon. Just because someone does a backflip with a japan, everyone's calling it a flat 3. Give me a break. I can think of a few people who do true flat 3s, but the majority are fraaaauuuudulent.

I've given up on explaining what tricks are on NS... I used to try, but NS is now over run with noobs who "know" every trick and spread false information and when you try to correct them they just tell you that you are wrong.

This thread is a prime example of people who "know" what tricks are and barge into a thread cramming false information down everyones throats.

Why don't people try to rotate double rodeo/flatspins (whatever a kangaroo is) more?  I mean TJ Schiller did a double cork 1620 why mot step up a kangaroo to 1080 or 1260?

People have been doing dub rodeo 10 (Kang 10) for almost as long as dub rodeo 9.

Off of the top of my head: Spriggs does one in Yeah Dude over some step-over, and Oscar Scherlin does them all of the time.

I was just sayin' that I've given up on the whole explaining of tricks to noobs because they don't get it and over all it's just a waste of time because whenever I do give a proper explaination some noob calls me out on it and says that I'm wrong even though I know I'm 100% in the right. if a kangaroo flip is double rodeo then how come people can switch double rodeo but cant switch kangaroo. i know there is so many threads about switch kangaroo being impossible/or possible. so that makes a kangaroo a dub flat spin 9
