Full tilt/binding

so i just bought ep pros and i need bindings. what aould you guys suggest for a binding that will work on the ep pros and not produce toe slop with my full tilts. +k for help

I find that anything LOOK pretty much kills it. The PX Jib are a bit heavy in the heels, but worth the weight. IF you can find Pivot's I'd recommend those more, but don't know if you can find a brake wide enough. Rossi FKS might have a wider brake than LOOK. Pivots have a lighter heel than the PX, bomber narrow toes tend to grab the front of boots nicely, especially with forward pressure closer to maxed out.

It has been said that Marker Griffons/Jesters are designed to fit Full Tilts best (which could be true since they're both pretty much owned by the same company), but my Pivots (FKS) fit my Full Tilts perfectly, but even the FKS XXL (wide break) is on a 115mm break (it can be bent out), and they can be a hassle in the powder. I'd say go with the Griffons or Jesters (depending on DIN range).

i have griffons and love them, super lightweight and have not had any problems whatsoever with them. I have dalbellos which are a very similar mold to FT and they fit nicely with the bindings. I would definitely recommend them.

Ski boots have a din standard sole. Its all the same for alpine boots. If there is slope its because of

1. The boots wearing down

2. The bindings becoming loose.

They are the same binding. have the same brake options.

this man knows what he's talking about.
and this is the major problem with Fulltilts; there is no replaceable toe piece. so once it wears down, you're bindings never feel the same.

get pivots or FKS with the 115 brake and you'll be much happier than you would be with markers. P14s are or on sale at backcountry for 270. I just got mine and they feel like a mans binding when compared to the griffons that i have on my other skis.

Yes there is a DIN/ISO standard for boots and bindings. But it allows some room for movement. The standard is something like 23-25 mm (I guessed these numbers and they are only for example).

The problem was that Jesters/Griffons had a 25 mm toe height (again the number is an example) whereas Dalbellos and Full Tilts had a 23 mm (for example!) thick toe piece. They are both within the standard range but this is why there was some slop. It is, however, fixed in this season's (09-10) bindings. I have two pairs of Jesters with Dalbello boots, no problems whatsoever.

Also forgot to mention that I have Jesters on my EP Pros. A good choice and you can get 132 mm brakes that are perfect for the skis.
