I feel like lately, and for a few years now that the Gear Talk forum has been overloaded with threads like "abangs vs. reno jibs" and Ect. So i'm going to make a few suggestions...
This is a site that has a GREAT review section, which usually entails everything that you will need to find out about a certain set of skis that you're curious about, and include a lot of questionable material for instance
-Overall
-Performance
-Design
-Fit
-Characteristics
-Durability
To review skis go under the Community tab and it says Gear Reviews
-Then type in the search for both skis that you want to know about, read multiple reviews for each, that contain different opinions, from different people, with different riding styles, and varies with where they ride.
-Either pull up both pages and do a side by side review on your computer or make a list of pros and cons on paper and then decide.
-If there is not a review on a certain ski, or you're not completely satisfied with what you learned then post a thread on the Gear Talk Forum
-Also, and i hate to say this again, but Searchbar these threads as well. People have probably asked before you did.
I think that this could drastically cut down on pointless threads in gear talk, and put more use to the great gear reviews that people take time to write in the gear reviews section.
Try not to bash me too hard, and try to stay positive, im just looking for feedback for the idea
