Hi, NS.
I'm selling an extremely lightly used Panasonic HMC-40.
First off, a brief description of the HMC-40:
The HMC-40 is an amazing prosumer camcorder for the price. It shoots in AVCHD, which means no tapes! This format can be easily imported into softwares such as Final Cut by using the log and transfer feature (may differ with other software). It's full resolution 3-megapixel, 1/4 inch 3mos imager produces extremely vivid and desirable colors. Its HD frame rates are 1080/60i, 1080/30p, 1080/24p, 720/60p, 720/30p and 720/24p. It is fairly light, weighing only 6 pounds. It has a 2.7 inch touchscreen display. This camera can also take 10.6mp still photos.
It has a good amount of manual features and definitely has a more professional feel than an HV-30 for example. This is a great camera for someone looking to upgrade from a more consumer focused camera, to a camera with a steeper learning curve.
Also, contrary to cameras such as the HVX, which shoot on p2 cards, the HMC-40 records onto a small sdhc card, which won't set you back $600 like a p2 card.

I have treated this camera with utmost respect throughout it's 13 hours of use. It has no scratches anywhere, and is in as close to perfect condition as something can get.
