Skateboarding vs. inline

i skateboard right now during spring and summer when i cant ski, and im wondering if inline skating is better than skateboarding. it looks pretty sick and so much like skiing and im wondering if its easy to learn and if its similar to skiing.

That being said I Rollerblade, I happen to prefer it over skating, big fucking deal. I skate with skateboarders, they skate with rollerbladers. Everyone needs to get over it.

LOL good point, Its Mike Johnson, and he is black with a killer nick name what can you expect? So i ride BMX, Skateboard, Rollerblade, and Ski. While obviously skiing is the best and everyone knows that. I think they are all fun. Skateboarding has a different technical side then roller blading and i see that and find them both fun. Skateboarding has a shit ton of flip tricks and when you get into that its super fun. While rollerblading has many rail tricks. I sometimes feel the urge for the boarding but then i really just love sliding rails, its my happy place i guess just like with skiing. There all fun to me and i dont see the big beef, they are all just sports and who gives a fuck if someone else likes something different?

he was a pro skateboarder and then decided it was boring, quit, and now is one of the industry's best skaters after blading for about 6-7 years which is amazing since there are others who weren't pro until skating for 10+ years
and then skateboarders can even approach the amplitude and consistency of rollerbladers, i will have equal respect for skateboarding

but skateboarding is sick, just not the little faggots who hate

well theres a big reason why skateboarders dont go as big or as "consistent" and that is... roller blades are attached to your fucking feet. makes things a tad easier and a lot less impressive.

Idk, the reason I'm more attracted to skateboarding is because I like the fact that you're able to manipulate the board + it has kind of a surfy feel to it (especially longboarding). I don't really skateboard that much and I kinda suck at it, but I still like it.

this argument will go on forever... the bottom line is that both sports have steeze (examples of each posted above). its up to your personal preference which is better. i personally like skateboarding better, but ive seen some inliners tear shit up (and bmxers for that matter)

so everyone shut the fuck up....

I havent skateboarded ever, but i Inline and its alot of fun, and easy to get the basics down esp if you ski. my first day i got frontsides and backsides down because i ski. finding your sole plate takes a little bit more time but its still pretty fast to find. it will definitly be helpful to you skiing too, one of my friends who is a great inliner bought skis this year for the first time, and 2nd day on skis did a switch on, backside 270 out on a kink rail

blading is where its at, i used to skate and could like kick flip but the feeling u get from balding is similar to skiing which is sick. helps with rails a bunch too
