when i do them i just set a little harder. you don't want to try and whip it because that will throw off your axis. once i get to a point where i can see the landing i watch it all the way around to the finish. making sure you commit and knowing you will land are the most important things. its all mental. when i learned them i carved off the lip pretty hard. it makes it much easier. i spent the morning practicing carving threes and then i just set the spin harder and went for it.
