Do the pivot bindings prevent this shit?

I have had this happen twice on two different sets of bindings trying the same stupid trick. Do pivots prevent this or is there a better binding?

Well, since the turntables don't have a track, there's no way for it to happen, so yes, it does prevent that...

Do you guys have trouble finding shops that can mount them? I am not sure if the shops where I live would have the jig for them, is the jig different than other look or rossi freestyle bindings?

same ive actually snapped my brake off of one ski falling on a 9. noeverytime i fall there is a 95% chance of a runaway ski. ha but i also love my fks's

pretty sure that the Look/Rossi jig has the mount pattern on it, but you can always call and make sure they can mount them before buying them.

Your binding is the basic Axial2 heel.  If you got either the FKS series or the FreeSki2 (120, 140, 150), they would come with the World Cup heel design that is much beefier.  They could still tear out of your ski like any binding could, but the heel trays wouldn't fail like that.

ive broken brakes so many times. right now out of both skis i only have half a brake. are fks brakes designed better so they wont brake as easy or are they the same? i have rossi sas2's now.

Yeah I have a pair of axials with a bunch of metal back there, they are much heavier but seem to be more durable.

If the shop has older look/rossi jigs then they will be able to mount FKS bindings.  Our shop got a new Rossi/Look jig in last season and it didnt have the heelpiece hole pattern for FKS bindings anymore.
