Astroturf or what?

So im looking to build a summer setup and i don't know what material to use. I know astroturf is pretty easy to get and is cheap but how does it work? Can you get any speed?
and i know theres that really expensive stuff like dendix and snow flex. Does anyone know where you can get this stuff in the USA? thanks

get mini golf turf. and use this tuff called snowgel, www.snowgel.com
OR use soap, like hand soap and stuff, and get it all foamy. it works fine, use some water. its fine, you wont get it to be like real skiing, you cant throw anything huge, or carve or anything

For the astroturf to be effective/work at all. It needs to be wet. I figured that out the hard way. the really really really painfully hardway. You probably know that..i guess Im just a retard. But it does work very well.

i use something called outdoor carpeting. its like astro turf. you can get it at home depot
