Seriously. Do it. I understand, the NSG forum gives you access to the wealth of knowledge of tens of thousands of "newschool" skiers (not sure that's a good thing), and there are some questions that we can very simply answer and this site is a good place to ask them. However, those instances seem to be few and far between lately. Please, for the sake of my sanity, do your own research.
I feel like whenever I venture into NSG, or even SG or Gear Talk, half of the threads that I see are of people asking, "should I do this?", "should I buy that?", "is this cool"? Can't anyone come up with an original, self made thought these days? Seriously, disconnect yourself from the computer, just for a minute, and think about it. I find that sometimes, I know it's crazy, I stop and use my brain and it helps me figure things out. Lately, instead of consulting Google, or the trusty searchbar (top right corner n00b!!), it seems most people just immediately make a thread. I feel like almost no one can make their own damn decisions around here anymore. Do you really care that much about what other people think about you that you have to ask semi-anonymous members in an internet ski forum what the "in" tall tee, hoodie, skis, or type of ride away is? Or maybe you're not sure what kind of XBOX microphone you should get. Well lets see here. I bet that there are a bunch of video game forums and electronic review websites out there that can give you a far better opinion and more in depth review of all the products you are interested in. And if you legitimately can't find any info about what you looking for on Google or by searching this website for pre-existing threads on the same topic, then go ahead and make a thread.
Thank you for reading my rant, have a nice day.
