Longboard graphic

Dude that's a really sick graphic, I longboard and i always like to see a graphic that represents NYC (where I live and love to represent by riding a bustin) It's a really cool graphic, I also like the colors

a gradient background with like blue to black for a night sky with some stars would look pretty cool.

i plan to use stencils and spray paint for the city and stripes, then maybe stencil the 4 star if not i heard permanent markers work well

I love the skyline, really good idea! Not a huge fan of the background you have there. Someone suggested doing a gradient background which could be really cool. It's pretty easy to do I have seen people do it on surfboards before their final clear coat.

This is my friends longboard, he has kind of the same idea but did out skyline (Calgary) with black and clear griptape instead of doing the bottom.

I have no artistic talent so I just sanded the original graphic off mine, and stained unevenly it to look like an old school water ski. Then i put a matte protective coat on it instead of a shiny one so it totally looks vintage. This summer though I think I'm going to give it a flat tail and a pointier nose and router like surfboard shaped rails all around it, plus some red stripes on the top.

dude, that grip tape design is sick! i'm definitely gonna do some sort of grip tape design but i have no idea what yet.

and the problem with the graffiti idea is i'm not that good at graffiti. i would do either "Chicago", "Chi-town", or "The Chi"

im sure you could get a nice gradient type of thing going as a base then just make stencils for the rest... either way you have some good ideas in here good luck and post the final pics when you are done.

so its been awhile since i made this thread and after i got the deck, i decided to do a different graphic. pictures below. i will still do that chicago graphic sometime this summer but it will only be for a piece of art and not for riding.

mine hasnt come in yet (getting a custom one from B.Pol) but im doing a sick collage of calvin and hobbes on the bottom and honeycomb with a few small things on the griptape. ill upload pics of the design when i get home.

I like what you have there. I would leave the graphic as is, cause you have to remember how much the trucks will fill up the void space.

A sunset background rather then all white would be sick and would show dirt or scratches a lot less. And some sort of cutout on the tape would def be ill. Maybe not to in your face. But like a Chicago cutout in a flowy or cursive like text along the edge might look ill.
