I think it was winter 2006/2007, when i first came across ghost couloir and ever since, i have been paying a lot of attention to it. It's one of them lines, what never seem to hold the snow well and when it dose, it could be as long as one to four days. The intimidating part of the whole descent is, the top section. A fall at the top, will result in serious injury or even worse death. Once past the minor exposer, it seems to be a pretty straight forward 40/45 degree couloir.
I no from my local knowledge, and the little information i have gathered, that ghost couloir has never been skied/boarded. I don't think any one has the balls to even attempt it? I no for sure, that i wouldn't think twice about turning back, if something didn't feel right. You can think i'm a pussy for saying that. But at the end of the day, i don't care. I would rather go for the gut instinct, instead of the wooden box.
