First DUI Check Point

friends mom driving home from skiing, driving over this mountain that alot of people die on and crash. and what do you know all these flashing lights and what not. Police man comes up to the car asks the driver a series of questions like if shes been drinking and stuff. And then they let us go, just wanted you to know

yeah have only been in one...in colorado lake county  as a passenger. i was drunk as shit.. the driver was sober. but since me and the other passenger were drunk the booze smell was powerfull they made us all get out.,. and i asked the officer if i could pee and he told me to run to the bush where i peed and on the way back i ate shit. they helped me up and sent us on our way.

Anyway, to make it a bit more interesting, I was driving through the east side of Manhattan about 5 years ago ... somewhere around 26th and 10th where all the bullshit cookie cutter clubs were. Reached a check point and the cop at the front asked if I had been drinking. Sure enough, I said "Yeah". Wait about 45 minutes in line and eventually got asked more serious questions by a 2nd cop.

"How much have you been drinking?" he asked.

Me: "3 drinks in the last 2 hours."

Him: "Why the fuck are you wasting my time? If someone asks how much you've had to drink and you can't come up with more than 5, then get the fuck outta my face!"

Me: (speeds off without giving the cop a 2nd chance to reconsider his awesome opinion on what is and isn't drunk driving)

and i was 19 at the time...   lucky me.. the cops in leadville were pretty chil. except when they gave this kid a dui hit and run. for being drunk  and he was gonna re park his car.. put his clutch in . car rolled forward and inch and hit the car in the driveway. so him being all drunk got out went up the stairs to tell the people at 330 iin the mornign that he hit their car.. and these lake county sherrifs grabed him while he was waiting and handcuffed him and he was fucked..

These check points are such bullshit. Unconstitutional at best. Unfortunately it's the norm these days. Borderless checkpoints all over the USA, sweet.

Not saying you should drive drunk. People that are swerving all over should be pulled over. People that are doing stupid shit, should be pulled over.

But fuck these checkpoints.

I went through a DUI checkpoint once. I wasn't drunk. They let me through. I have no problems with them.
