How did you guys get into that type of hobby/work? Did you just doodle in class, mess with photoshop, etc.?

i'm in an art advertising and design class right now and my teacher says that  people made for the industry doodle a lot, draw, are creative, usually don't like math and usually are night owls. if you're talking about starting up a freelance bussiness, i have no idea how you start that. i'd say enter your stuff into contests and go from there
