Vests?

I am thinking about making a vest because my hoodies are too hot for summer days.  Anybody made just a vest?  Did you just fold under a little bit of fabric on the sleeve and sew it down to make a finished edge?  Just wondering

a vest is easy, just don't put on sleeves.

im not sure what this is called... but do the stretch stitch like you do for ribbing on cuffs or on the bottom of the hoodie, just do it on the end of the arm holes...or just hem, i think either one works, this post is confusing, im not even sure i understand it. wow im lazy

Instead of sewing the sleeves together, sew a zipper in the middle of that bitch!

I bought a zipper that is really long for a sweatshirt because that's all they had, is there anyway to cut\shorten the zipper?

Yes, you can definitely shorten the zipper. Unfortunately, I'm not totally sure how; something about removing the links or something.. Must be a video on it somewhere.

You definitely can shorten zippers, the ones I buy have a little instruction on how to do it on the back of the packet, but search youtube if there isn't an instruction panel.
