Replying to WHO KNOWS CAR AUDIO??

alright NS im in a pretty big bind here on what im gonna pick up for subs in the quite near future. My choices are between 2 rockford fosgate p2's in a ported box, or a kicker L7 15 in probbbly a sealed box. The p2's have a 250rms on them so im thinking i'll be going with either a 1000watt hifonics amp with 500rms or a 1000watt monoblock with 750rms. If i went with the L7 i'd be getting a 2000watt monoblock with 1000rms. Ideally i would want the L7 because im thinkin its gonna be quite a bit louder, but also a decent amount more money. I can get the p2's in a bassworx box for 150$ from my friend and then it'll probly be 200-250 for the amp. the L7 would run me about 300$ + 300$ for the amp and 100 for the box. my question is if its worth it to drop the extra cash and get the L7, or if the p2's will be more than sufficient? im not looking for competition bass but something with a serious punch and quality. i was running the p2's in my car before with a 300 watt amp and they were alright, but would a bigger amp make a way bigger difference?
