Snow filming

im going up this weekend to film and it is suppose to be snowing. what should i do to protect my camera from the elements?

garbage bag works well with a hole over the lens, umbrella if you are going to be shooting from one position for a while. What kind of camera do you ahve?

If you have a lens hood, use it to keep snow off the lens. Depending on the size of you camera either a bread bag or a small garbage bag will work for the body. Bring a wipe for the lens and make sure you dab the water before you wipe it. Try to do less follow cam shots because snow always gets all over and ruins the shot. I also find that putting the lens cap on builds up condensation somehow, so only do it if you are totally packing it away to go somewhere else.

This is coming from someone who films in wet (coastal snow) condensation might not be as big an issue in the dry stuff.
