Griffon Schizo

Has anyone gotten these bindings and if so how do you like them? Are they good for park and pipe as they say they are or are the just marketed to say that they do? Do they fall apart easily with the extra parts and all?

And how Gotama 178's? if anyone has them.

first off, griffons are garbage, both versions, so lets just get that up front. second, the schizo tech is retarded and faulty, the 2 kids i know with them have had the cord things snap, rendering them stuck in one place. 3rd, there is no point in this binding, yeah marker says "oh you can put them center for park and move them back in pow" but any ski that is gonna ski pow well, should never have bindings center and wont ski well in park to begin with. if your buying an all mountain ski that you can use in park and some fresh snow, put a good binding on(fks14s for example) and mount 2.5ish cm back from true

did u ever think that not everyone needs a metal binding? yeah the fks 140 and what not r sick bindings, but some ppl just dont ski hard enough to need all the metal in a binding

fks 140 isnt an all metal binding. The heel piece is, but the toe has some plastic in it

I have them mounted on my Bents. Got a good deal on them with the ski, the Bents were drilled when they came and have screw threads. think they hold a lot better then just drilled holes.

most of the time I ski them center mounted. ive skied them for like 5 days this season, and so far I have nothing to say against them. they hold up pretty good and the damage is just cosmetic (chipping). I never had a prerelease or some other troubles. Im happy with them. I wouldnt  have bought them if they werent in this set with the bents. I just dont need to change my bindings that often, cause the bents are super fun center mounted. i think for a ski like the fujas or a line blend the binding system would make more sense, then for a only pow oriented ski like the Hellbents.

My friend have some griffons on his invaders and never had troubles with them, I think its a pretty decent binding if you're not too heavy they're a good choice I would say.

For my person: I'm 190cm but just 75kg and my DIN is up on 8-9

Got them mounted on the rossi S3 koopman.

Got nothing against them, do their work just fine for me.  But as above in this thread is said, i hope they will hold up well. Also got the cosmetic damage because it's plastic. A week ago a changed from position and the front of my binding didn't take the steel cabel(? dunno how you call this) with it. Hope this wil not happen during the skiing. I screw them back and it was fixed.

unless you weigh nothing or you are a completly non-aggressive skier you should try to get a good metal construction binding. you dont have to get fks 180's but the 140's at least have some metal construction and wont break on you. and how can you look at the metal cables on the schizo system and not think its gonna break? shits so flimsy

Schizo's have way better holding strength than having joe dirt drill your skis. I'm 6'0 190 lbs and ski them hard. I havent had any problems with them at all. Super fun binding. It makes a huge difference in how your ski performs to be able to move your binding back or forward depending on snow conditions. Get em!
