There's gotta be ns'ers here...I'm probably transferring in the Fall wanted to see what up with the cwu scene i checked out the campus over the weekend but thats all ive seen
Haha actually im at Seattle Central now, but I was talking about central washington university in ellensburg. we should chill though man im tryina meet more people
yea I heard its hard to meet people at Central. You longboard by any chance? probably gonna go later on tonight.
You doing Hope on the Slopes this weekend at Stevens? We should definitely meet up, there will be a couple of my friends from SU up there this weekend to.
I am a senior at Ellensburg High School. If I were you I wouldn't come here. But i've lived here all my life and my mom is a professor so i'm biased.
Snoqualmie is lame. Unless you want a decentish park or Alpental has new snow. Although there is some serious night skiing six days a week so it's real easy to jet up there after school for a few hours. Mission Ridge is almost 2 hours away but worth the drive most of the time and Stevens is two hours and two passes away. There's not much to do in town if you're not using your imagination.
There is some solid mountain biking not to far away though. I work at the bike shop here and if anyone on here wants to go for a ride just hit me up.
if you're into outside activities, so skiing, climbing, hiking, camping, driving, whatever, Ellensburg is one of the best places you could be. I like it a lot, its got a cool town and is close enough to seattle. So yea, you find people that hate it, but if you take advantage of its surroundings its as good as it gets
It should also be noted that it will turn you into a damn good ice/snow driver. Mainly ice. Ellensberg allways has the iciest roads in the state
And I have just seen to many of your old snocompton posts to take you seriously. And we have met a couple of times but that was a few years ago and I doubt you would remember me.
I went to CWU. It was pretty cool since I met some good people and had a lot of friends who got passes to Stevens with me. But after 3 years it really started to get old. Same people over and over, most people are city slickers who bitch about how bad Ellensburg is but yet have no desire to go do outdoor activities.
I stayed sane by skiing a lot, hiking the local hills, road tripping and exploring the area. I would recommend getting involved with OPR, you would meet a lot of like-minded people there and get involved in some cool stuff. I wish I had done that but luckily i met some people who would join me on my outdoor endeavors.
Yeah CWU is notorious for parties but it gets old when it gets busted by 11:30 everytime and it just is a bunch of people drinking until they puke. Definitely some great times but just make sure you diversify and meet people are into things other than drinking, which can sometimes be tough out there.
Central is a lot of redneck people from Enumclaw, all the ones that are smart enough to get out of Enumclaw and get into college but dumb enough to live the lifestyle of all the farmers go to Central. (I.E. the bitching about Ellensburg and drinking until they puke every night.)
