Which ski is better for hitting large jumps, which is more durrable and which weighs more? I weigh 155lb, am 5'10" and am planning on getting 176 chronics or 177 ace of spades. Thanks for the help!!

pretty similar, ace of spades might be a touch heavier and definitely stiffer. either one is going to be killer, id go whichever you can get a better deal on

biggest difference is that the chronic is going to be a directional shape and flex and the ace is a symmetrical twin shape and flex. I'd go with the ace personally having skied it, I was particularly impressed with how well it rode around the whole mountain

so theyre both pretty legit on jumps but have different flex patterns which i was aware of. i can get the chronics for 250 and ace of spades for 300. is the extra 50 worth it for the ace of spades?

personally, id say no, but its up to you. i dont like park skis with metal, you torque metal well enough and it stays that way. if it was a pipe ski, id say yea, def, but a jump ski? thats gonna take some weirder crashes.

hmmmm ok if the metal is surrounded by wood it wont bend into a new posistion unless i took an insane crash. idk if thats true. maybe youre right idk

the aos has two sheets of metal, one above and one below the core. the ski will only hold bend in a torquing situation usually, but i just had to bend back a head monster 82 last week, it twisted, and stayed there. i'm not saying its normal, but it can happen. they also can be bent back, under heat and torque you can get it back, just not quite the same.

The chronic's flex is symmetrical, but not it's shape. I have a set and love them.

good skiers at demo day liked AOS way more in park here last year. If you're not planning on mounting back(-6 or -5 for chronics flex pattern) then get AOS for sure. I didn't ski them, but owned chronics which ski good at -6, not anywhere ahead of -3.5ish

I haven't skied either but I'd probably go for the AoS.
All times are Eastern (-5)
