There's a LOT of Wu Tang music out there, and a lot of it is downright bad. RZA is one of the greatest producers to ever do it, but save 4 emcees, the rest of the team is average—at best. Recent Wu projects have been hugely disappointing, and no one gives a shit about it other than nerdy music bloggers trying to sound cool and edgy, and kids who will buy anything with the W logo.
I'm not going to get into a "look how much I know about REAL rap" argument, but you throwing around shit like "select few actually understand" is just laughable.
Drake is ringtone rap because the music industry has utterly collapsed. Without cash money behind him? RIght, because we all know they have such a reputation of quality...
Lyrical content is weak? Why, because he doesn't reference obscure kung-fu movies and butcher the use of big words in the wrong context in a pathetic attempt to sound intelligent? He's witty and clever. That's rap.
