ok so ik that this has been discussed b4 but i think that was back when there was the old ps3. what about the new $300 slim ps3? the one that does all the things the old one does but is smaller and better with no stupid glitches.

i would go xbox its more common so there's more games and people on live and stuff although if you do do that you might have to deal with the red ring

i have both and the xbox is defs more common and does have better exclusive games....the red ring is actually not an issue anymore if you go and buy a new xbox because the new jasper cooling system, is incredible. the only reason you keep hearing about the red rings is because the old xbox's are still in circulation (aka being resold used)

Im a huge NHL fan. too bad the kid I play with here in my dorm has a PS3. I've always been an xbox360 fan my whole life. It stinks how sometimes no one is on NHL 10 on PS3. Then when I find someone with a 360 playing with it, there are tons of people online at any hour.

xbox 360 has way better controllers. if you arent going to use live you can also Jtag it

ya the ps3 controllers are kinda wierd considering the trigger like buttons arent usually mapped to shoot for most games on the ps3
