Did Jon Olsson ski race in the Olympics?

I have been wondering this for awhile but never watched the Olympics cuz I dont get TV when im on the mountain...did he race? Was he even qualified to race?

brooke was that his brother johann olsson? thats funny cause when the olympic people were talking they said johann like Jon and i had to rewind it and the whole nine yards to find out, but i didnt know they were related..

Nope pretty sure Johann isn't Jon's brother sorry. Hans Olsson is his brother. In the DH he came 12th, SC DNF, SG DNF  and GS DNS.  Wasn't very sucessful for him although I think he got injured in the SG.

One of the English commentators kept on calling him Jon and then correcting himself.

He did pretty well in the combined downhill, 6th i think? maybe 4th? But then crashed out of the slalom. Shame.

he was at Cannon Mountain today for some training, and just some freeskiing. Did some laps with him, real down to earth dude just lovin skiing. Went to just cruise for a bit to get back to skiing instead of running gates. Anr the Nor-Am's are in Waterville Valley next week, so he is in town. NO pics, but the Holderness race coach has pics for proof that'll be up somewhere soon

It'd be funny if he got borred over the next few years and also did(and won) aerials as a joke.

Is he just thinking SL and GS, or is he also going to be doing SG and DH?  It seems like his body shape would be better for SL/GS but it'd be cool to see him in all of them..
EDIT i forgot he's 6'0", but he's still probably fairly light..

Yeah he's a sick racer. Was chilling and racing with him and the other swedes at NZ winter games last year. Cool guy, great all around skier and such a chiller. Got some great photo's with him :) haha
WIll be interesting to see how he goes at the Noram Finals, some amazing guys there would be a great race to watch.
