2011 Volkl Bridge

my buddy skied them, the 2011 are rockered, he likes his better (the 2008/09)

yea volkls been throwing rocker on their skis lately

this years gotamas started it; and next years katanas have a bunch of rocker which were flat this year

K2, salomon, theyre all doin it

havent skied them but am good friends with the local rep so i have seen them up close. they are rockered, similar to the goats, low profile rocker. bigger all around although i really dont remember the dimensions. haha. also a little bit softer. personally i think it would be a sick all mountain ski, but again never got to ski it.

They were fun. Still like any other Volkl ski but with the rocker you could still butter it. I think the waist was around 95? It's not symmetrical, but it still killed it in the park and just for cruising. As a one ski quiver though it might be a little too narrow for the PNW. It'd be a great east coast ski for sure though (where I demoed them).

I skied them. Unfortunately it was bulletproof when I did, but I must say I was impressed. I am not a huge fan of rockered skis, but they seemed to do alright in hard conditions. Good width throughout this year. Quite impressed!

what length did you ski them in?

They are a pretty impressive ski, I really like the way they handle at everything.

I never thaught that I would own another ski under 100 in the waist, but I skied the new bridge and my new pair is in the mail. Basicaly if you own a mantra, scratch bc, old (98 waist) seth, etc. and a new bridge you own a bridge and a rock/urban rail ski. Perfect 1 ski quiver if you like park skis (think big hits and big pipe mainly), or great non powder day ski if you have a big freeride ski. If you want a 1 ski quiver and you prefer jib/rail skis look at the salomon 2012. The salomon turns quicker, butters better, has more pop, is more reinforced for rails, and is more center mounted. The volkl is more stable, beter in long turns, beter in powder and crud and, of course 50 ft tables. The bridge will absolutely kill a quad kink, but the 2012 will make sweet, sweet love to it. That's the diference.
