So yeah, I worked at this mountain for 2 years a couple of years ago. Ended up getting fired by the guy who's running the park. This is how awesome they're park has gotten since then. Warning, you may lol a little bit

I worked there last season and I ended up saying "fuck you" to the park manager before the beginning of this one. There was no way I could work at that mountain again.  Great terrain, but one of the worst parks in NY. The park manager "jason" doesnt know shit about riding park (but thinks he does!) and still struggles with driving a cat, despite going to cutters camp twice and working at the mountain for quite a few years now. Are bent rails and mangled snow fence your thing? Go ski gore!

Needless to say, I  loled extra hard when watching this. It seems like the park has gotten even worse than last year too.

It's pretty scary isn't it? Like it seems like they have to be joking about the shit they come up with. If they built a legit park and hyped the events up propperly just stopped trying to name them, they would be good.

This guy jason frequently runs down rails and fencing in the cat. They have a brand new park bully that he won't drive because he knows he's going to fuck it up. They have a halfpipe with holes in it, dirt, crumbling sections. I've seen drainage ditches that looked safer.

You're not getting the point. This is a state run mountain. They can drop a shit ton of money on anything whenever. New lodge lift and other shit? no problem, done.

The jumps are awful, lack any transition. Jumps don't fit the size of the gap. They have some rails made of low grade steel by a backyard rails company in vt.  They wobble and bur like crazy.

With the budget and snowmaking capacity of this mountain they could have an awesome park. Instead they really do have one of the worst parks in ny

I started them on that the first year  worked there 4 years ago. Gapers would cut around and sit right on the landing. At least they've stuck with it.

did jason leave your mountain last season to come cut park for bristol mountain,(also in NY)

cause our normal cutter tom (whos pretty good at his job) left to go somewhere for a season, and we took on a guy named jason, he had also been to cutters camp, and he basically performed the same as your saying.


at the beginning of the season the guy built kickers, and then didnt put any landing after them. i shit you not, it was kicker, then just the normal trail.. like /____

he also mangled two or three rails with the cat, and one time collapsed a good portion of our pipe as well.


i really dont think its that hard to drive a cat. you push the joystick forward, it goes forward, you push sideways, the cat turns. you push the hydraulic levers, the plow and the grooming attachment go up/down/side to side.

Like the 4 jumps at the top of the main park with no landings that he later put rails rails on? Straight up lazy not to mention looked really shitty.
You could tell by the park from the year before and the park this year that they were done by different people.

The Gore thing isn't totally an issue with money. It's not being retarded and actually doing work/ knowing what your doing from common sense.
Look at the Greek Peek thing, their park went from nice to down right shit and everyone flipped out. They could use the same amount of money and just set things up with common sense.

Yeah that'a not jason. Just some new higher. There was a masive tiller rut in one of the jumps the other day. And nobody even made an attempt to rake it out or fill it in. The other person they got used to be a photo lady there. Last year they had a guy riding 210 straight skis.

The only person that knows what hes doing is ted/tbatty/t3dizzle. But he dug his own grave with how badly hes always wanted to work there. This was the first year he didnt get completely screwed over.

I just hate seeing the attitude at mountains where people just treat the park like a normal job. Put shit in crooked, build an awful jump, call it good enough and just leave it.

I just don't understand it. Sad thing is they actually think they're making great leaps with the park now.

I remember when we'd slave over a jump for 2 days. Have a deck on top, perfectly flat across the whole way down, nice tranny, then a day later he'd undercut the whole corner off with the cat.

I got in trouble for not putting the footage markers on the jumps. a 25 foot jump was supposed to have a 35 foot marker. and a 28ish was supposed to have a 40. Now they have shit thats 30 ish that says xl on it.


That really helps to lie to people about how big things are before they hit them. Always safe.

Oh yeah, any comments on the youtube page or facebook fan page that say anything other than "yea gore is awesome, me and my family had such a good time rolling over those awesome ramp jumps" will get deleted.

Even constructive criticism. I actually hadn't been there in over a month(Bought my pass for the glades and we hadn't gotten any snow) I made a comment to the marketing lady emily that the rail settup was pretty nice for gore, especially the green flat down rail. It was a short flat down rail with and extra 8 foot down at the end. Still small but like 8-16 rode really nice. Went 2 days later. They actually made the effort to dig it out and sink the front of the down a few extra inches so that It no longer rode smooth. IT was a slight drop and a change of angle.



And if anyones in the area you should check out that pipe sometime. It's quite an attraction. Me and danetron used to rake out the walls by hands so that you could get a few hits in without dying. Jason blames the pipe cutter for the problems. Yet years before they used to have a really nice 14 foot pipe on the main mountain with the same cutter.Cut by somebody who hadn't been to cutters camp twice.


He actually bragged before he went the first time about he didnt really need to learn anything. When legitimate cat drivers go their to get better even though they're already far above this clown.



I just thought the video was a nice way to show people a mountain with big potential that went down the tubes park wise.

I Ski there to and i woul love to kill the park maker or what ever cause it strait up blows but at least it is family friendly so none of the jumps and landings get destroyed by gapers
